What is a Facebook story downloader?

How to download a Facebook story
- Open Facebook in the app or at facebook.com and go to the story you want to save.
- Tap the three dots (...) in the top-right corner of the story player.
- Choose "Copy link" to copy the story URL. On a computer you can also copy it from the address bar.
- Open https://getvidfb.com/facebook-story-download and tap the Paste button.
- Press Download and give us a couple of seconds to read the story from Facebook.
- Choose the quality you want - HD keeps the story exactly as it was posted.
- Save it: on a computer it goes to Downloads, on Android to your Gallery, and on iPhone press and hold the button, pick "Download Linked File", then move it from Files to your camera roll.

- On a computer, open the story at facebook.com and copy the URL from the browser address bar instead.
- Both m.facebook.com and web.facebook.com links work, as do links in the /stories/ format.
- Paste the link into the box on this page and press Download.
- If "Copy link" is missing, the person who posted has limited sharing on that story and it cannot be downloaded.
- For your own stories, you can also use Facebook’s built-in archive - but that only keeps stories you posted yourself.
- Only if you can already see it. If you are friends with the person or you belong to the group, open the story while logged in to your own account, copy the link and paste it here. If the account is private to you and the story does not open in Facebook, no downloader can reach it - and we will not try to get around anyone’s privacy settings.
- Downloading is invisible - Facebook has no notification for it, and nothing about the download reaches the person who posted. Viewing is different: if you open a story inside Facebook while logged in, your name is added to that story’s viewer list.
